Resurfacing of roads in Beaconvale, Triangle Farm and Stikland Industria

08 September 2025

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate would like to inform residents, road users, businesses and the broader public of roadworks along Selsdon Road, Glenhurst Road and Linus Road in Beaconvale; Uranium Street in Triangle Farm; and Tedric Avenue, Traka Street and Willow Road in Stikland Industria. The work starts today, 8 September 2025, from 07:00 until 18:00, Monday to Saturday. The project is scheduled to end on Monday, 13 October 2025, weather permitting and provided there are no unforeseen delays.

The resurfacing project along these roads will also entail the installation and repair of kerbs, manholes, channels and the pruning of trees where applicable. All road markings removed during the process will be reinstated with new retro-reflective road marking paint to improve visibility and road safety.

‘We would like to thank all road users in these areas for their patience. The resurfacing of existing roads forms part of the City’s road maintenance system that ensures that we prolong the longevity of the City’s road network. Please pay attention to road signs and be vigilant in and around the roadworks area as we work towards keeping Cape Town moving,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
